BTEC Level 2 Firsts in Sport
BTEC Sport allows students to study a range of different topics related to the subject. This includes:
Year 10
Students are assessed during each unit of work and will achieve an overall grade, this could be a Level 1 pass, Level 2 pass, Level 2 Merit or Level 2 Distinction.
Students should be aware that the course is predominantly theory based and therefore assessments are based on the understanding of key concepts and not just their practical ability within Physical Education.
Year 10
- Practical Sport (assessed with 3 written assignments & practical observation of 2 sports)
- Fitness for Sport & Exercise (assessed with a computer based exam)
- Leading Sports Activities (assessed with 2 written assignments & a practical coaching assessment)
- The Mind of a sports performer (assessed with 3 written assignments)
